You can delete the
previous entries that appear in the search column and form (form) on the
website using the Settings menu in the browser. The way to do it is almost the same in most browsers. The
Safari Browser used on iOS or macOS computers does not store entries
for searches on websites so you don't have to delete anything. If
you want to delete the search history so that the site you've visited
doesn't appear in the address bar (address bar), look at how to delete
Search History.
Chrome (Computer Desktop)
- Click the Menu button (⋮) in the Chrome browser, then select "Settings". The settings menu will open in a new tab.
- Click the "Show advanced settings" link at the bottom. Additional settings for Chrome will be displayed.
- Click "Clear Browsing Data". This button is in the "Privacy" section, which is under the "Show advanced settings" link. A new window containing several options will be displayed.
- Uncheck all options except "Autofill form data". This option removes everything that is entered into the form on the website.
If you do not want the site you have visited to appear in the address bar, also check the "Browsing history" option.
- Click the "Obliterate ..." menu, then select "the beginning of time". All entries that have been saved will be deleted.
- Click "Clear browsing data". All the items that have been selected will be removed from Chrome.
- Delete one of the search entries. If you only want to delete one or two entries, do this manually: [1]
- Click the column containing the entry you want to delete. This will bring up a list of saved entries.Use the mouse to highlight the entry you want to delete. Press the key ⇧ Shift + ⌦ Del when the entry is still highlighted to delete it.
